Professional subtitling
Subtitling on a professional level requires highly qualified language specialists who understand the complexity of translating different types of content and genres and, above all, have the ability to remain faithful to the original meaning and context of the source material.
How do we translate subtitles?
Subtitle translation, subtitling, and closed captioning take much more than just translating a movie script or document and then copy-pasting the subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Translators must understand the content they're working on, stay true to the original meaning and context from the source language, and express them in another language. Aside from that, they must also ensure that the translation meets the subtitle or caption parameters, taking into account, for example, reading speed, character limits per line, timing, and placement.
